My Truths

I stand against evil
striving for righteousness
in my quest for peace
I fear not the unknown
fortitude is the sword
wielding my battles.
I know the truth I know
and believe the evidence of my faith
There are treasures to unearth
jewels of mysteries to reveal
From behind clouds
pregnant with rain
the sun peaks
Renewing life
like the wings of the phoenix
flowers spread their pedals
I will carry your burdens
but you must first let go
you may follow if you choose
but it is my journey
my stumbles
I alone am responsible
human am I
who follows the roar of the sea
the soul of nature is loud
its voice I must hear
no judgment of myself can be judge
not by me
or by he
who is
himself flawed
the path is jagged and long
with care and patience I travel
I pass through darkness to see the light
clear as pure crystals of peace
in this world of egotist humanity
I may mourn the past
and drink of the memories
for this journey through life
is mine and mine alone
