Memories are
the brick and mortar
creating the foundation
our lives, are built on
we plant seeds that yield
the fruits that nourishes
our souls
seeds that blossom
into beautiful flowers
adding color
to our days
seeds that become
mighty trees
reminding us of our strength
the produce of these seeds
surround the brick and mortar
that becomes
our spiritual house
where we grow
beyond
the adversary and fears
that haunt
the joys and laughter
we protect
we learn to climb our ladders
from the dark depths
to brightest heights.
we learn
we are
what we always were
