Is Justice Blind?

My silent anger screams with rage. My silent anger sends palpitations to my heart. Has everyone in this world lost their damn blasted mind? There is so much evil.  I just want to curl up in a ball and hide from humanity, because there is just too much insanity.

I really believed that when America elected its first black president, that we, as a people have grown. That we now accept each other for who we are and not for what we look like. I really believed that racism was disappearing.  Unfortunately that is not the case. In fact there seems to be more evil in the world. Look at the Trayvon Martin killing by George Zimmerman. I don’t know what happen I wasn’t there but the evidence that has been presented to the media is enough to convict him. But the fact of the matter we don’t know if he shot Trayvon by accident or if Zimmerman had a hard on to pull the trigger and the only way he was going to get an orgasmic satisfaction was to shoot. We can be angry of the injustice all we want. We can only pray that policies will change and the powers that be answer for their actions.

Has the world gone totally crazy?

A few weeks ago a woman was sentenced to five years in jail because she enrolled her son in a school, in a neighborhood she didn’t have permanent residence in. The woman was homeless. Does that mean since she doesn’t have a permanent residence her son doesn’t have a right to go to school?  Homeless mom sentenced to 5 years in prison for stealing sons education  Another woman was arrested for lying to get her children in a better school. Ohio Mom Jailed For Sending Kids to Better Schools  Where is the justice in this?

There is so much violence all across the board. We don’t have to go far to find it. It’s in the backyard of all our lives. Watch the following video and see how several white kids beat up a lone young man. Who is also white.  Nobody knows why.

A Japanese woman was accidentally shot, by a cop while sleeping in bed. The cops raided an apartment on the floor above and accidentally shot his gun. cop accidentally shoots woman during Brooklyn drug raid reports say A trained police officer accidentally shoots his gun. Come on now.

A 20-year-old woman delivering gifts to her cousin’s daughter fell 14 stories to her death after being threaten with a knife. The family believed the cousin was the child’s father new girlfriend. I mean I thought the day was about the little girls’ birthday.

woman fell to death in Bronx delivering gifts for her cousin

Another twisted incident is a teacher laughing as she duct taped her 12-year-old student to his chair. His classmates laughed at him and pushed him to the front of the class. He says he was embarrassed.

Teacher duct tapes 12-year-old student to chair.

Let’s pour a little more salt in the wound. In 2010, the son of a Sanford, Fl cop, Justin Collison, beat a black homeless man. The sergeant Anthony Raimondo declined to arrest Collison. He is the same Sergeant to decline to arrest Zimmerman. Gives you a moment to pause and think huh?

I can’t say it enough that I really thought racism was dying. I hate that I was that naive to believe that justice could be blind for real. I am really disgusted and my heart is broken and so is my belief in mankind.  I heard a public official running for the presidential office call the sitting president a nigger. Racism is alive and well.

This is clearly not an election on policies or on what is best for the Untied States of America. It is a racial war. It is fear. It is apparent that the racist white Americans don’t want a black man in office. They would rather struggle in poverty and let the rich get richer than to let a black man lead this world into financial security. They rather die than accept affordable health care. They don’t want their mothers’, wives’, sisters or daughters to use birth control. They rather them, have children they can’t afford. They rather watch their woman die of ovarian cancer and other illnesses that birth control corrects. Don’t let me remind you of the back alley abortions. You know where they used hangers inserted in the woman to abort the fetus.

It’s not only white racist that feel our president isn’t doing a good job. Some black people feel he’s not doing enough for black people. Some white people think he’s doing too much for black people. The saying goes. You can’t please all the people all the time. Hell you can’t please some of the people some of the time and you sure can’t please any of the people any of the time.

Our president is a mutt just like me. Denying either race would be like denying his family. There is so much evil in the world it keeps me up at night. I fear for the children of the future. I fear them having to fight this same fight we’ve been fighting century after century.

Our president and I believe the words of the pledge of allegiance. “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” Liberty and justice for all, not just for you and not just for me for all!

Maybe if we put a blind fold on we may be able to see blind justice.

  1. I find it difficult to believe that the women who sent their children to the wrong schools were actually imprisoned. What happened to the children? Were they put into care? So not only the mothers but the children were punished. Most parents want their children to have the best education possible. If the judges and the women swapped places the judges might be tempted to try the same tricks to better their children’s prospects.

    1. The articles didn’t mention the children. But I’m sure they went into the system. I did this with my children when my children were young. There were many parents who did. It is crazy.

  2. There’s a lot of good in the world but… it is indeed shocking that we continue to witness acts of violence and the accompanying ignorance that you describe in this post. Not good. Justice is blind when it suits the majority…

  3. It’s disgusting how things can happen and be ignored, or called accidents….I’m a teacher, and some of this feels like a student who sees that you see him do something…Yet he still says he didn’t do it…some of this stuff is just shocking..

  4. There is so much evil prevailing in this world ! that it makes us blind towards the pain of others. Its sad to know that we aren’t anymore human where justice is taken into consideration.
