Spring Emerges

scattering the weariness of winter

the laboring winds of spring

bones now stretching and cracking

and soak in the spell of liquid tranquility

washing away the dusty shadows

of dark days and cold nights

~ ♥ ~

radiance from the east sparkles with brilliance

as hypnotic ballads of affection serenade

young hearts with the intoxicating flavors of life

drinking from cups over flowing with hope

as they dance, the dance of mating

scattering the weariness of winter

~ ♥ ~

come home, come home to nest

celebrate the lazy days and breezy eves

chasing laughter, chasing dreams

twinkling stars and comforting moons

easy to forget that distant memory

of dark days and cold nights

~ ♥ ~

lime, jade, olive and emerald jewels

sprout from here, there, everywhere

sweet fresh scents tickling sinus

buttercups, honeysuckle, daffodils

euphoric sensations overwhelming

the laboring winds of spring

~ ♥ ~

refreshing sprinkles rolling free

clashing lights and rumbling clouds

rivers overflowing, waves clawing

fish in abundance feeding the multitude

sweaty, overheated bodies cooling

washing away the dusty shadows

~ ♥ ~

exercising, bike riding, jogging

waking from a long winter slumber

rejuvenating old and tired limbs

inhale fresh, exhale stale

time to use the all those

bones now stretching and cracking

~ ♥ ~

winter fades in the landscape of yesterday

filling us today with an abundance of blessings

and soaking in the spell of liquid tranquility
