one full of anger
one full of hope
intertwining
seeking absolution
seeking vengeance
sadness lives in our lives
in the shadow of happiness
pain cuts deep
to the horrors we keep
embracing joy
as pain continues to hide
in the shadows
I speak in whispers
I’m not
what I was
an empty soul
facing tomorrow
I am the promise
of today’s hope
silence is roaring
can you hear it
screaming
in the stillness

Life is such a soup of mixed feelings and emotions, isn’t it?
That comes and goes.
We chew and swallow, however bitter it may be at times.
And it can be just at bitter as it can be sweet. 🙂
But of course. 🙂
🙂
May Hope never die.. ❤ Lovely words
Thank you Sue.
I love this
Thank you I am pleased.
Yours words are powerful Kim!
Thank you Sandra.
Your poem made me think of the line “What happens to a raisin in the sun…”
What a wonderful compliment.
The screaming silence can be the most painful… burning like ice.
True
You have a way with words! To me, this write says that we are a mixture of emotions, fears, joys; it makes us what we are. But knowing the bad helps us reach out for the good and there is always hope for the future. Amazing picture too.
Thank you very much. I always believe there is hope.
