The Living Beast

cannibalistic savages . . .
lost without compassion . . .
greedy gluttons . . .
lusting fool’s gold . . .
a cancer in society . . .
spreading their malignancy . . .
without remorse . . .
who locked up the cure . . .
and hid the antidote . . .
every life expendable . . .
it keeps the grave digger . . .
digging until he digs his own . . .
a sneering smile . . .
without a soul . . .
a heart beating . . .
a living death . . .
lies are the truth . . .
he has no use for . . .
the truth he lost . . .
when his soul was stolen . . .
and sold on the black market . . .
for the price of respect . . .
a cheap imitation he found . . .
in the shadows of hell . . .
among the demons . . .
always lurking for the innocent . . .
and gullible . . .

  1. Kim, this one is a little darker, but I like your metaphors. Our greed is unhealthy and will eventually cause us to lose our soul. Nice work. Keith
