cold fills the early morning air . . .
his blistery arms cuddle . . .
shivers wake every inch of me . . .
I melt deep into a cotton quilt . . .
cozy and warm in this moment of winter . . .
an ache in my shoulder reminds me I’m alive . . .
the tickle in my throat causes a cough . . .
darkness sweet ambiance surrounds me . . .
I breathe in deeply savoring the solitude . . .
exhaling the peace that comforts me . . .
my season of joy fills me with tranquility . . .
even as my knee pulsates radiating pain . . .
I am in awe with this winter freeze . . .

Stop by tomorrow and read My Dear, Dear Friend
One more thing!!! I started new blog Hidden Temptation please follow as I share my writing and upcoming publishing process. As of now I will only be posting there on Tuesdays and now on Thursdays too.
The best thing about cold weather is getting warm. 🙂
Yes it is.
Winter so cold and cuddly!
I love that poem, Kim, although I’d rather you could just enjoy your snuggle down without all that pain.
I would prefer not to have the pain either.
A very lovely poem…winter in SoCal doesn’t quite have the same feel to it. 🙂
Beautiful words … wonderful snuggle thoughts …. but winter is on the downside! …. thus hopefully better days ahead for the knees.
I love winter but you’re right winter doesn’t love the body. But neither does the heat. Missed you, hope you’re well.
All is well (Thanks for asking). Over the last 2-3 weeks, it’s been difficult to get around to other blogs as much as I like to do … Hang in there!
As long as you’re good that’s the important thing.
I think you’ll like my current post.
I’m sure I will. Not feeling too well today but I will get caught up with my reading blogs by tomorrow.
FYI … If tomorrow … go back one … On 63
So it like I’m not getting your post. I have to check my reader. I will fix tomorrow.
Take your time … after all, I’m way being everywhere!
🙂
Nothing like a cosy snuggle under the Duvet this time of year.. as outside the Big Freeze of winter continues as we have a lay in 🙂 I have had a few of those this last week Kim LOL..
Lovely poem.. xxxx
I love winter. It doesn’t seem to hang around long enough any more.
Nature is as confused as we are at the Seasons this year especially Kim
I know. The flowers and trees were trying to bloom in December. The moon was out at 3:44 this afternoon I posted on Instagram.
Yes I think many are feeling Natures changes Kim.. and in January I noticed too how low the Sun was in the mornings.. Creating lots of beautiful Sunrises which we don’t normally see here..
Someone told me that the earth heals itself. Man can make all the changes but the earth will take care of itself. I like to believe that.
Yes she/ our Earth Mother doesn’t need Man.. In fact she has warmed up and cooled down tons of times.. But this time its more evident because of our pollution.. And another great way to extract monies in Green Taxes.. 😦 And no matter what we do, Nature will do her thing.. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you.
I love the contrast between the peace and cosiness and all the aches and pains which come with the cold (and advancing years!).
Thank you and sadly true (advancing years)
Ethereal!
Thank you Cindy.
