About

I am silently whispering  to be heard.  My words beat from my heart. It is through my writing I reveal the ugliness that plagues this earth. My quest is to grow world peace, I started by planting a seed of love and hope inside of me.

I live in the moment, at this moment, and every moment I am happy even when I’m sad.  I cry for the evil that walks through darkness  hurting the living souls. I battle that darkness with pure essence of light that shines from within each of us.

My hopes, dreams, and prayers is for joy to infect the ugliness  trying to destroy humankind and together create a world of compassion and tolerance.

Please visit often and share in my vision of creating love and passion on planet earth.

Helping Us Grow Spiritually

  1. Woah (that’s for the poem!)… You may be ‘Silently Heard Once’, but when I look at your photo, not only do I see incredible beauty, but eyes that are filled with wisdom and that ‘see’ a lot more than many. It’s been lovely to see and meet you 🙂

    1. Thank you very much for that beautiful compliment. I would like to think that look was wisdom. I took that picture when I was away on vacation and I was very tired that evening. We were going to my 35th class reunion after running around shopping all day the day before. I agree it’s very nice meeting you too. 🙂

  2. I seen your name listed as taking a peek at my blog, so Thanks for coming by. I know how you feel about having your “Voice” heard…..I’m a woman in Recovery from addicted gambling and alcohol, live with Mental illness, and a Sex abuse survivor. Yes, I know, it’s a mouth full, but I write and blog about all these issues to inform, raise awareness, and let people know we are out here….

    Hugs & Blessings Kimberly,
    Author, Catherine Townsend-Lyon 🙂

    1. We all have our burdens to carry. My blog on blogger http://meverselupus.blogspot.com tells my story that is a bit the same. I was in a relationship with an addict. I used but because he was an addict I wouldn’t allow myself to get strung out. It was work I know I had no control so I guess I would be called a functioning addict. Now I’m sick with lupus and only take what’s prescribed. My son is mentally ill and has spent most of his adult life incarcerated. He’s an addict also. So I can definitely relate to your life. I look forward to getting to know you. This blog I try to showcase my talent but my poems are really my personal stories in metaphors. Hugs to you Catherine.

      1. Well your poems are wonderful. Sorry to hear about your son. Mental and Emotional illness & disorders have a long way to go for Clinicians & Medical AND Police & Fire on how they treat and interact with mentally ill people.

I’m so happy you were able to get a handle on your addiction. I was NOT so lucky, and mine almost cost me my LIFE TWICE with 2 failed Suicide attempts. I’m TRULY a Miracle of God’s. My father has had Lupus for years. It is a hard disease. I wish much love in your life!
And know I’m here for you with Friendship & Support! Hugs! *Catherine*

        1. Thank you for your support Catherine and I’m here if you need someone there to let steam out. My son had been locked up for $10 a walk man Everything less then $100 and always when he’s off meds. When he’s locked up they keep him isolated. He gets his meds but no therapy or monitoring of his meds. But who said life is easy. I’m glad your suicide attempts were unsuccessful. God has a reason for you to be here. Maybe just to tell your story and be a beacon for those in the dark trying to find their way out. Thanks for reading my poetry. Lately I’ve been trying to keep them up beat. No sense crying over what was and can’t be changed.

    1. I’m writing my life story in poems and short stories. I’m also working on a love story I’ve worked on and put down several times over the years. The reason for that is I got sick, depressed, distracted and then went back and edited. But I will finish it very soon. Thanks for your interest.

  3. Hiya. I’ve a feeling you’ve been nominated already – and if you have, here we go again! – but if not, consider yourself nominated by me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. It’s to recognize others who consistently write great posts that the nominator looks forward to reading. My blog has my acceptance entry and the details…and congrats!

    1. Thank you for stopping by. I went back to your page to check out what I read. Memory is bad. While there I read one of your poems. Talking about strong writing, you do have a great talent and I will be following you.

Please tell me what you think. If you don't I won't know.
