If Only

if I could see tomorrow today . . .
I would slow down and notice . . .
what was taken for granted . . .

like dazzling sun risings . . .
drops of dew on spring leaves . . .
laughter roaring in the distant . . .
while tears flow with sorrow . . .

if I could see tomorrow today . . .
I would remember the taste . . .
of the ocean spray . . .
as warm sun’s rays turned to sweat . . .

I would raise my arms above my head . . .
and run and run and remember the wind . . .
gently slapping my face . . .

if I could see tomorrow today . . .
I would imprint my little babies hands on my cheek . . .
I would bottle their scents forever in my memory . . .

I would smile more and cry less . . .
I would live in the moment . . .
forgive the past and wait for the future . . .

if I could see tomorrow today . . .
I would love without judgment . . .
I would love without expectation . . .
I would love yes I would love free . . .

I would not hear gossip . . .
malice wouldn’t exist . . .
negatively would be a waste . . .
a waste of precious time . . .

if only . . .
if only I could see tomorrow today . . .
I would live insanely in joy . . .
every moment invested . . .
happiness and contentment . . .
my valuable stock . . .

my memory would be long . . .
every word spoken . . .
every dream dreamt . . .
every soul I met would have a place . . .
in my recollection today . . .

if I could see tomorrow today . . .
I would slow down . . .
notice the emotions . . .
embrace the moments . . .
each precious one . . .

  1. Each day is a new beginning.
Our neighbor who is mid 90’s just lost, well had to give up his car.
A blessing perhaps? Now though at least he is asking for help from those who have offered since he has no family close.
So yes, don’t wait, count those blessings.

Oh something is funky with WP I try to go to you site by icon, in comments and even via my mail and I get this odd message:
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

Since I can get to your place by other means and I don’t like what fussing with ‘upgrades’ since WP does enough ‘damage’ on it’s own I’m not doing what it says.

    1. I had brought a domain last year and couldn’t renew it this year. My decision not WP and I’ve got that same error message when I visited other sites. I’ve been working on my projects and when I finished too tired to do much of anything else like working on my WP page.

I know it’s hard for older people to give up their licenses but it’s really for the best. It’s too bad we learn to appreciate our blessings when we grow older.

      1. I’ve yet to buy into ‘Free’ sites of anything… Though I did for a year or two at a book club type place. But then I went back to the free…and for the most part no problems.

        1. I just read that article. . . Wow! I went to Catholic school and there were rumors about nuns and priest having babies and would kill them and bury them in the convent but those were the talks of kids making things up. But were they?

          1. That place though was supposed to protect young women and their children. But mores being what they were and walls being high… Hopefully things like that will not be allowed to happen now or in the future.

    2. I just tried to respond to your reply on Tears of Blood and got the error message. I’ll have to look into it. But it’s funny that other people could comment. I read recently before they started bring Africans to America they had the Irish as slaves but the problem was the Irish could pass as “gentlemen and ladies”. Either way this need to be empowered over another is disgusting. I’m going to go and read the link you sent.

      1. It just depends on where you go. I have to get to you by going to my favorites link. I haven’t changed anything with WP for a long time. Once someone almost got my password, so I had to change that. But other than that I’ve just worked with what I could.

I still like the Native Peoples traditions that none should own land. But I am afraid that with all the time that has passed – no one wants to give up what they thing is rightly theirs.

The Native Peoples of North America were not fair skinned either. And now in the news the pipe line people want to put pipes under their sacred burial grounds. What is fair about that? Just because it is the quicker route? And it all boils down to how to get energy to the people who consume it for the lest cost.

        1. The thing is the land was alloted to them as part of their “reservation”. And they call people Indian givers. My grandmother always said we were Indian. My grandmother was dark. I read an article that the Indians of North America came from Africa, I knew. In the article they used a picture of this young lady that looked like a younger version of my niece.

          1. I watched a show once that said 99% of our genes (presently) from the woman’s side – came from Africa.

So called Virgin Land should not have just been allotted to Native Americans (who weren’t given lands similar to what was taken from them) -… should have been the other way around. The Spanish and even the Icelandic peoples who thought they were conquering uninhabited lands – took what wasn’t theirs for their own countries. The ‘English’ came much later.

            1. #45 said a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know why they didn’t take the oil from Iraq. That was such a disgusting thing to say. How dare he think he has the right to just strip the land of it’s resources. Rich greedy people think they are entitled and don’t care about anyone else. I’m sure if there is a hell I hope there’s a special place for the heartless souls.

              1. Over ‘there’ there are tunnels burrowing beneath borders… nothing is sacred when it is money that speaks. I read that a visitor to our country (I think) had 1,000 attendants . But then I also read that the oil boom is going bust. What is real and what is fake news these days?
